How to Slim Down Using Make Up :: Face::~

Hi Girls and Guys (if any)::~
I do not discriminate::~
Hehe::~
So yea::~
I've a couple of segments for the "How to Slim Down Using make Up"::~
We have various parts of our body where we'd really like to "improve"::~
Maybe I can do a "How to Fatten Up" segment::~
For really petite girls::~
Do request if you'd like that::~
Well::~
I'm starting off with the contouring of the face area::~
Like how Kim Kardashian's rocking it::~
So here it is::~
My personal technique is really basic::~
So I've included tonnes of youtube tutorial::~
Well::~
The tutorials really just teach you very similar steps::~
But it's up to you to choose which methods suite you best::~

p.s. I also did some introduction on some of my prefered make up tutorial guides on youtube::~
Do read up on them as I will be using most of their tutorials to guide you::~
Do request for other make up tutorial guides if you have your favourite ones::~
I'll keep a tab on them if you'd like::~
************************
Here's my contouring make up techniques::~
I'd love to have pictures to go with this but I've 2 assignment due soon::~
So, here's a quick re-run for you::~
Just to give you a basic idea of what I do::~
Maybe I'll do the full steps later on::~
Okay::~
My "Slimming" steps require::~
A matte bronzer::~
A matte deep blush::~
A shimmery lighter blush::~
A light concealer as highlighter::~
(you can use a regular highlighter if you want better effects)
First::~
I dot some of my "highlighter" concealer on my cheek bones to define them::~
Then I apply my matte bronzer just below my cheekbones::~
The lighter blush just just slightly higher, over that::~
After that, I suck in my cheeks::~
And the deeper blush goes into the deepest place where I sucked in::~
(I hope you understood that, do request if you want better explanation)

Here are the make up tutorials for face contouring::~
Enjoy and do ask if you need any clarification::~

p.s. Here's a tutorial on contouring the nose by Kandee::~ Kandee's a makeup artist::~ I like her because she's really fast and straight to the point::~ She's probably the best "guide" as she's a celebrity make up artist herself::~ So, I'll be using alot of her youtube tutorial make up guides::~

p.s. Kandee (above) also explains how to eliminate double chins::~ I do not have double chins but I think this trick would work really well if you have any problems with your chins::~

p.s. Tiffany (above) shows us how she does her version of face contouring::~ She's really great::~ I love her make up tutorials::~ She gives awesome details and I like how she really covers alot of topics::~

p.s. The pretty Chinese girl (above) shows the basic technique on how to contour your face::~ I would be using a lot of her make up tutorials because she's Asian and her face characteristics probably matches ours best::~ Especially eye make up techniques::~

p.s. I chose to post up this make up tutorial because Echoli (the girl with heavy heavy eye make up ~ above) makes some really detailed and great points on using the correct type of make up products::~ I hardly watch her youtube tutorials, maybe I'll look into it::~ Do take her seriously although she looks a little too made up::~ For example, she said that the bronzer should be matte and I'd like to emphasize on that as well because mast make up producers love making bronzers with shimmer in them, which I think is the wrong way to go::~

Concealer Trick: Concealing under eye circles::~

So::~
I've a major problem with my under eye bags::~
They are hereditary problems::~
So no matter how much sleep I get, its hopeless::~
I used to be obsessed with fixing my under eye problems::~
Hence, I rely on tips and tricks to brighten and conceal my under eye bags/circles::~
So far I would say I would say I managed to eliminate the dark circles but not so much so the under-eye bags problem because that's really tricky::~
I do not find using cold spoons and tea bags to work REALLY well::~
They do work at a certain level I must say but they don't really work much for me::~
I'm the exception case, sadly::~
So here's my routine tips and tricks to eliminate my dark eye circles::~
First::~
Go under natural light (sun light preferably) but don't go to your garden and do your make up or your neighbour would think you're weird::~
So, stand by your window and grab your mirror::~
If you're doing make up for night it really doesn't matter much::~
Because it's the night and your concealer is hardly that noticeable under the "heavier" make up you would have on::~ :)
Get a yellow undertone concealer as your concealer base if you have deep grey-ish purple eye circles::~
I would recommend you to use your finger instead of a concealer brush because you finger would "warm up" the concealer, hence, making the concealer adhere to your skin better::~
I use my middle finger because it is more comfortable for me but some people do use the pinky if they want more detailed coverage::~
Then I use a warm peachy toned concealer over the first yellow concealer::~
This concealer should be the one that match your skin tone perfectly::~
The trick is to really know how to blend it to avoid it looking too cakey::~
"Dabbing motions" are crucial and you wouldn't want to use "sweeping motions" as that would harm your delicate eye skin::~
My second concealer is slightly oilier and my first concealer is much of a "dry-cream base" so that just worked really well together::~
But I would recommend you to do the opposite which is to get a yellow based concealer that is oilier and cream based so it would be much more gentle to your soft under eye skin and then use the peachy "dry" one to contra the oily-ness of your first concealer::~
Okay~?
Does that make sense~?
Do ask if you want me to clarify more::~
:)
I'm doing mine the opposite now because I have to finish my current batch before moving on to change my routine concealers::~
However, if you have to of the same "oily" concealer::~
Try this tip::~
Blot off the excess "oil" from your concealers using a tissue::~
Blotting tissues work as well, but I find that tissue works best::~
Then lastly I apply a thin layer of really translucent light concealer (which I also use as my highlighter) over the entire eye area to just seal and finish off the look::~
I prefer using a mineral concealer at this step because it's finishing is very detailed and would not leave as much "fine lines" especially if you have large eye bags::~
Or alternatively you can use a brightening under eye powder to get great finishing::~
Benefit have a good brightening under eye powder, so if you want, do try that::~
And that's my routine::~
If you have better tips and tricks (especially for eye bags) do share~!
I'm honestly considering surgery in the future to remove them::~
And asking my Dad to fund my surgery cuz it came from his side of the family::~
That's fair right~?
Hehe::~
For your convenience, I have done some research::~
So, here are some youtube tutorials on how to best conceal your unsightly under eye problems::~

Enjoy and do ask for more beauty tips and tricks~!

p.s. I like the way she did the triangle trick, I tried that and it really lightens up my entire face::~ Maybe I'll do a follow up make up tutorial::~ So, do request if you want me to::~ :)

p.s. Tiffany (above) also explains some tips and tricks to conceal using the "colouring" technique (i.e. using a yellow based concealer to conceal purple eye circles and using a green based concealer to conceal red spots) It's supposed to be useful but I haven't tried it::~ If you have, do comment and tell us about your experience~! Cheers and thank you~!!! <3

Megan Fox TRANSFORMS too::~

So here's one of Hollywood's 2007/9 success stories::~
From being an awkward teenager to being dubbed as the next Angelina Jolie::~
Looks like Fox's shot to stardom was a worthwhile one::~
So this begs the question::~
Of course, there's THAT movie called Transformers::~
But it's quite rare for "just a pretty face" Megan Fox
as shown in the "before" to become the "after" she is now::~
Well::~
I'd say she did the right thing to fire her previous stylist and got a waaay better one::~
Her current stylist should be given an Oscar::~
So::~
What's different~?

Makeover Secret 1#
Her brows are significantly thicker and nicely shaped::~

Makeover Secret 2#
She traded the dramatic eyeshadow for a dramatic lined-eye look::~

Makeover Secret 3#
Less blush and more bronzer::~

Makeover Secret 4#
Nude lips::~

and lastly::~
Makeover Secret 5#

Killer dress and killer pose would help to pull off the "Watch Out, Hollywood~" Look::~

So, there you have it::~
How Megan Fox transforms::~

And for the more interested readers on how she pulled off the sexy, sweaty and tanned look in the Transformers series::~
Here's a make-up tutorial (not done by me) that I found on Youtube::~
Enjoy~!
<3
p.s. I especially liked the bronzer trick she did in this tutorial::~ Makes your make up look much less pale::~

Be Nude~

Okay::~
Don't think otherwise::~

This is my "Beauty Blog"::~
So it's "Nude-Make-Up-Look-Nude"::~

Not "Nude-Body-Nude"::~
Shishhhh::~
So, I'm guessing the guys who googled "Nude"::~
Are probably going to the top right corner and clicking that little x button::~
Haha::~
Nahh::~
Just joking::~

Who says guys can't do make up~???
Nude make-up that is::~
For example Eric Winter from The Ugly Truth::~
Well::~
Here, you can see he's rocking the "bronzed" look::~
Some highlights below the eye area::~
So, guys DO need make up once in awhile to have flawless skin too::~
Unless some certain guys wanna look like drag queens with eyeliners and all::~
I'm totally not judging you guys::~
Anyway, girls and guys::~
Before I drag onto my personal thoughts::~
I'd like to introduce you to my version of nude make up::~

Which I wear almost everyday::~
Unless there's an occasion::~
Then, I'd be wearing the more dramatic and colourful makeup::~

So, after moisturizing my face::~
I do not use face primer, foundations and powder::~
But I'd recommend face primer::~
But since my makeup doesn't melt off my face when I'm under the sun::~
I'm still okay without it::~

But please do recommend me one if you love your current primer::~ TQ!
I don't do foundation because I never trusted that it wouldn't clog pores::~
Perhaps, it's a psychological thing::~
And I've lived without powder because I've been living fine without it::~
Noone tells me I look odd without it yet::~
Heh::~

I start with my first concealer::~
The Elianto Concealer in 01 medium::~
Which I bought as a last minute attempt for my sister's concert and she couldn't use my concealer because it looked weird on her::~
And now it's my duty to finish it off::~
Not that I love it::~

I wouldn't recommend this concealer because it's base just too yellow::~
But it is a super high impact concealer~!
So it's really great for cover-ups::~
If I had a 3 inch scar across my face, it would just hide that hideous thing awesome-ly::~
So I use it to conceal my anomalies::~
This concealer is the tougher and thicker one that doesn't really have to suite one's skin tone exactly, but preferably in a lighter tone::~
It just has to block uneven skin tones or zits or any unsightly 3 inch scars::~
Then I use my second concealer which is the perfect tone colour to my skin::~
The Maybelline Perfect Concealer in 02::~
It's quite a sheer for a concealer, which is why I use my 1st concealer to conceal::~
Then, I apply my third concealer which I use as a matte highlighter::~
I realise most highlighters have a shimmery base::~
And I hate that because it is just "too made up" for my everyday look::~

But if you want a more dewy look, I'd recommend you to use a normal highlighter::~
YSL highlighters are amazing::~
I have a Estee Lauder gold highlighter powder which I would use over my usual highlighter just for that slight shimmer::~
After the highlighter/concealer::~
I'd usually blot my eyelids at this point with a tissue because I realize that excess concealer would show on my lids' crease::~
So I just blot it away::~
Next::~
I'd do my eyes::~
The funny thing is::~
I only line 2/3 of my lower lids with a sheer brown liner::~
and I'd create a winged look with my black liner::~
I do this step because my eye is slightly winged down-wards::~
Hence, giving me a "sad puppy" look::~

So basically I do not line my upper lids because it would look too-un-nude for me::~
Then::~
I'd go on to my brows next::~
Then::~
I'd use my bronzer::~
Okay::~
The bronzer part is really up to you::~
I use it because I've been overdoing the face sunscreen thingy for the past few decades::~
and now I have very obvious face/neck tone differential because I care for my face's UV exposure more::~
*sigh*

Anyway::~
I use it around my jawline , under my cheek bones and temples::~
Next, I apply blush::~
Don't laugh::~
Contrary to believe::~
Guys like girls who wear blush::~
Just like guys like blushing girls::~
Well::~
Ever since I switched to a warm reddish-brownish hair colour::~
I tried on blush because the hair colour made me look super wash-out and pale::~
And the blush made a huge difference::~
I looked younger and happier::~
I SWEAR::~
So yeah::~

Give "blushing" a go and you'll never know what comes out if it::~
*wink*
Okay::~
After the blush::~
I put on my lip balm::~
And dab on some lip colour::~
"Dab" because it is a nude look::~
and if you want a even dramatic "nude" look::~
Put on some concealer after you've moisturised your lips::~
And you'll look absolutely nude::~
By-the-book-nude::~
Have fun~!
Here's a youtube for your tutorial needs::~
Cheers~
